After more than 20 years in the television industry in both UK and Australia, multi-award winning writer/producer/director, Lucy Goodman formed HAPPY FILMS to produce stand out quality children’s and family media. HF’s first production Bookaboo (live action/animation 3-6 yrs) launched on CiTV in 2009 with Celebrity Guest, Meat Loaf. Lucy is currently in between Montreal, Canada and the UK producing and directing a third series of Bookaboo as a co-production for CBC, Canada and CiTV, UK! Bookaboo the format is also in production for Radio Canada and TFO.

Happy Films has an exciting development slate in various stages of development, covering a wide range of children’s genres: factual, drama, documentary and family feature films. 2013 will see completion of development of a brand new format for 3-6 year olds.

Goodman’s track record includes making shows for BBC, BBC Schools, ITV, Disney, Nickelodeon and Pearson Education. Previous shows include award winning comedy drama, Sir Gadabout the Worst Knight in the Land starring Tamsin Egerton; Game show, Best of Friends and young drama, Chatterhappy Ponies.

Goodman is creative, tenacious and a production value perfectionist, which quite apart from the programmes produced has led to the growth of a dedicated team of extremely talented individuals that Goodman loves to work with again and again.
