Speed Meetings: Publishers
Friday 3rd July 2015, 3:30pm - 4:30pm BST
The Workstation (Mezzanine)
After the Commissioner Conversation session with publishers, the panelists will be available for 5-minute one-to-one advice meetings.
We advise you to attend the Changing Channels: Commissioner Conversation with Publishers session beforehand so that you can acquaint yourself with their areas of interest before attempting to book meetings.
We suggest you use these meetings as a chance to acquaint yourself with the Publishers’ ways of working and find out how to get access for a longer meeting at a later date.
If you have a project sufficiently worked up for them to see, make the briefest of pitches, so that they get a snapshot of the project and can consider how best to advise you about next steps. if your idea or project is in an early stage of development, prepare a one-sentence description that makes clear: what it is; who is it is aimed at; and what its unique selling point might be – why it is different. Again your aim should be to get advice on what next stapes to take to move towards a meeting at a later date, should they express interest.
Speed meetings cannot be pre-booked. You can only organise a meeting if you come to the main Registration desk to book in at the start of each Speed Meeting block. The Speed-Meeting Blocks are listed in the programme and the app. The meetings will take place on a first come, first served basis.
