The Opening Keynote is the agenda-setting event of CMC 2017 – a strategic review of the changing face of content creation and distribution for the children’s audience
As the dominant commissioning body in the UK, the BBC’s recent announcement of increased budgets for children’s content and its commitment to digital has huge implications for the kids’ media industry in the UK – and beyond.
Alice Webb, Director BBC Children’s & BBC North, and James Purnell former Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, and now Director BBC Radio & Education (speaking for the first time at CMC) will talk about the latest developments in BBC’s kids’ strategy and their perspective on what the future holds for the audience and content makers in general.
The Keynote began with a presentation by Changemaker Jeremiah Emmanuel, Youth Campaigner and Founder of EMNL Consultancy.
