Showroom Cinema 3Read session report
Character design is often about keeping it simple – but the elegant simplicity of the most well-known and classic characters belies the many hours of work that have gone into their development. Interesting looks alone do not necessarily make for good character design; personality is key as well. So the session will deconstruct what gives successful characters their unique and loveable personalities: what’s been exaggerated, what’s been played down, what gives a hint of backstory and depth. With the help of an expert panel (character designers, animators, industry experts) this session will analyse what makes a good character and look for some commonality across the most successful.
