Can We Fix It?
Wednesday 5th July 2017, 11:00am - 12:15pm BST
HUBS The StageRead session report
An ambitious session looking at the range of issues facing kids, and media companies, in their relationship with kids online.
The session reflects the House of Lords Communications Committee Report, Growing Up With the Internet, 5Rights, The Children’s Commissioner’s Taskforce Growing Up Digital, and current parental, political and regulatory concerns, and seeks answers to questions such as: what’s broken about the internet for kids, and how can we fix it to make a child-friendly internet? Have your say and be part of a CMC report to the Department of Culture Media and Sport.
The debate at CMC will reflect a major theme from the forthcoming Children’s Global Media Summit 2017 agenda, and we will explore the UK industry perspective and feed that into the Summit proceedings.
