The multi BAFTA winning ‘Horrible Histories’ has fast become the nation’s favourite ‘must see tv’. The first children’s programme ever to win a coveted British Comedy Award, ‘Horrible Histories’ has set a new high in quality comedy writing and performing.
So how did this crack team achieve their goal of making a show that some people would say was too good for kids? Revealing their less than serious side in this BAFTA Masterclass, we welcome some of the creative team behind ‘Horrible Histories’; Executive Producer Richard Bradley, Historical Consultant Greg Jenner and Script Writer Gerard Foster. While discussing what’s funny, they’ll also open up the process behind their comedy writing, how they develop and execute their sketches, how they discovered what worked for kids and adults, where do you draw the line on taste and decency, and comedy performers and their starting point.
Join us for a fast-paced comedy masterclass PLUS a sneak peak of an unseen episode from the new series.
This event forms part of BAFTA’s UK-wide learning and events programme, giving audiences across the country access behind the screens of the film, TV and video games industries. For more information visit www.bafta.org
