The rise of smart speakers and youth-leaning podcasts has opened exciting new ways for brands to connect and engage with young people. On one hand, these products offer a natural remedy to the ‘screen guilt’ felt by parents, who are looking for something that can pry their children’s eyes away from digital devices. On the other hand, operating in these relatively untested, surprisingly opaque waters also throws up many challenges to brands as they fight to capture the ears and interests of young people around the UK.
Building on recent research into the youth audio space, Hook Research will moderate a panel of thought-leaders from kids’media companies – discussing how their brands are using audio products (such as voice, smart speakers, audio books, and podcasts) and what other companies can learn from their experiences navigating the modern audio landscape.
