Virginia Monaghan

Virginia Monaghan is VP Marketing and Creative at Nickelodeon and leads the entire network’s award-winning creative, marketing and communications team. This includes spear-heading events like SLIMEFEST, Nickelodeon’s acclaimed slime-filled music experience aimed at kids and families which takes place at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Over 12,000 people attended the six sold out shows in 2017 with performances from Diversity and music acts including Pixie Lott, The Vamps,Professor Green and Nickelodeon’s own JoJo Siwa.

An employee of Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) since 1991, Monaghan has also worked across the MTV and Comedy Central brands. For a decade she served as Director of Music Channels for MTV, overseeing the content across the brand’s suite of eight music channels. She has also been Head of Marketing for the network and spent most of 2016 overseeing the marketing, press and creative teams across both MTV and Comedy Central.
