Stephanie recently founded an independent publishing consultancy working across the children’s publishing and media industry. From an editorial background, Stephanie has spent most of her career in children’s publishing and has held posts as Managing Director of Ladybird Books, Frederick Warne, BBC Children’s Books, and Penguin Children’s Books, where her remit included Puffin and the licensing of brands such as Peter Rabbit, The Flower Fairies, Spot and Ladybird. She believes that to remain relevant publishers must be where ‘children are and where they are heading’ and is passionate about how the fusion of traditional and new media must serve their needs as readers of the future. She was named in The Bookseller’s top 100 movers and shakers in publishing in 2010.
