Sophie Gindensperger is a French freelance journalist. After graduating from the Ecole Supérieure de Journalisme in Lille, she joined the newsroom of Arret sur Images. She then went to work for Liberation, where she was first editor of the blog platform and then a radio and TV critic. She became a social media editor and created Le P’tit Libé, a web and print edition for children. She writes about comics, web culture and television. She’s now working on developing her skills in graphic design and illustration.

When reporting ‘bad news’ to children under 12, what’s the best way to approach it?
