Sioned Wyn Roberts
Children’s & Learning S4C Wales
Sioned Wyn joined S4C in 2012 and is responsible for all children’s programming on the pre-school brand ‘Cyw’ and Children’s ‘Stwnsh’. She is also developing the Learning slate and is working with S4C colleagues and external partners to develop new Digital content for the channel.
Sioned has over 22 years’ experience of programme-making, first as a researcher then producer, director and series producer at the BBC. Sioned was a Senior Producer at at BBC Wales from 2001-2006. She led several award-winning multiplatform campaigns such as ‘Come Clean’, ‘B*ll*cks’, and pan-Celtic Language Learning project ‘Colin and Cumberland’.
In 2006, Sioned joined the independent sector as Creative Director at Griffilms animation company. Between 2008 and 2012, she worked as an independent producer on many series such as CBeebies’ interactive project ‘Alphablocks’ and CBBC series ‘Stuck on Sheep Mountain’. Sioned was a member of the group reporting on ‘Digital Materials in Education’ for the Welsh Government and this has led to the setting up of the Hwb digital learning platform.
Before joining the media, Sioned was a History teacher for 8 years. She has two children who consume digital media voraciously.
