Sarah Ann Kennedy-Parr

Sarah studied fine art at Newcastle where she specialised in making short funny animated films depicting ‘real’ women and their stories.  She went on to develop this work at Royal College of Art where she improved her skills in the craft of animation and developed her story telling skills.  Sarah continued her fascination with story and women’s identity after she left the RCA by working in the script department on programmes like Eastenders and for Channel 4. Sarah was finally commissioned to create ‘Crapston Villas’ working with production company Spitting Image.  Sarah has since been working for companies like Talkback Productions, Loose Moose, Hit Entertainment and BBC.  She has a PGCE from the Institute of Education and is a fellow of Higher Education. She has presented various papers at conferences both here at in the States and is currently working on book with Bloomsbury Press. She continues to voice Miss Rabbit on ‘Peppa Pig’ and Nanny Plum on ‘Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom’. Sarah also narrates for Key Stage 2 programmes for the BBC Learning Zone.
