Richard Hollis

BBC Worldwide

Head of UK Licensing

Richard Hollis has been at the BBC since the week EastEnders started and worked on programme acquisition and retail development before moving into licensing.

He handled the original UK licensing of Teletubbies and then travelled the world appointing a network of international agents as the series became a global hit.

He has also worked on high-profile merchandising for Wallace and Gromit, Tweenies, Robot Wars and Fimbles amongst many other BBC brands. Recently he has led the resurgence of Doctor Who merchandising back from sci-fi cult products to the High Street, and has licensed pre-school hit In the Night Garden.

Richard will be a speaker in “Do You Need A License For That?”
