Pui Fan Lee
TV Presenter and Performer
Pui Fan Lee began acting on TV aged 13. After training at LAMDA, she worked in many TV, film, radio and theatre productions, and wrote and performed her own one-woman show ‘Short, Fat, Ugly and Chinese’, which won an award for its BBC radio adaptation. In 2002, Pui was one of the very first presenters to be broadcast on CBeebies, at the launch of BBC’s digital channelling platform.
Together with Chris Jarvis, she created and presented six series of ‘Show Me Show Me’, and are they are both still regular faces on CBeebies. They also devised the multi-award-winning ‘Old Jack’s Boat’ starring Bernard Cribbins. Meanwhile, ‘The Chris and Pui Show’ continues to tour UK theatres with their live variety family show.
This year Pui will to be working with various orchestras around the country and also joining up with BAFTA Kids and charity Place2Be. As a huge fan of innovative theatre practitioners and having played and voiced the part of Po throughout the entire filming history of the original ‘Teletubbies’, Pui is thrilled to be taking part in this year’s CMC session ‘Look! No Strings!’.
