Professor Jeanette Steemers

Jeanette Steemers Ph.D is Professor of Media and Communications and Co-Director of the Communications and Media Research Institute (CAMRI) at the University of Westminster in London. She has worked as an industry analyst (CIT Research) and Research Manager (HIT Entertainment). Her books include Creating Preschool Television (2010), Regaining the Initiative for Public Service Media (co-editor with G.F. Lowe, 2012), Media in Europe (Co-editor, 2011), Selling Television (2004) and European Television Industries (2005 with P. Iosifidis and M. Wheeler). She is a trustee on the Board of the Voice of the Listener and Viewer Board. Her work has been funded by the Leverhulme Trust, the British Academy and the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
