Managing Director and Executive Producer
Phil Chalk is Managing Director and Executive Producer of Factory, an independent, innovative, multi-genre animation studio based in Cheshire, working with global clients, broadcasters and partners, delivering world-class immersive content to thrill, excite and engage audiences of all ages.
The studio is currently producing ‘Norman Picklestripes’ for NBC Universal Kids, a 2019 BBC One Christmas special called ‘Mimi and the Mountain Dragon’ with partners Leopard Pictures, and past works include BAFTA winning ‘Clangers’, Strange Hill High’ ‘Club Penguin Specials’, ‘Newzoids’ and ‘Scream Street’.
In 2017 Factory launched Factory Rights, after acquiring Clive Juster’s Rollo Rights. The acquisitions include Rupert Fawcett’s ‘Off The Leash’, ‘Mr Benn’, ‘King Rollo’, ‘Victor & Maria’, ‘Towser’, ‘Watt the Devil’, ‘Art’, ‘Ric’ and ‘Dr Xargle’.
More recently, Factory has collaborated with Andersen Press and will produce a brand new animated TV series of David McKee’s iconic children’s brand ‘Elmer the Patchwork Elephant’.
