Managing Director and Executive Producer
Phil Chalk is Managing Director and Executive Producer of Factory Transmedia, a multidisciplinary film and animation studio based in Cheshire.
Over the last ten years, Phil has produced numerous animated series, including: ‘Roary The Racing Car’, ‘Fifi And The Flowertots’, ‘Raa Raa The Noisy Lion’ and BAFTA nominated ‘Muddle Earth’.
Factory TM is currently in production with ‘Clangers’, a co-production between CBeebies, Factory and Coolabi. Previously launched on the BBC in 1969, the British cult classic will combine stop-motion animation with the unique knitted puppets.
Currently airing on CBBC, and now in its second season, ‘Strange Hill High’, is a co-production between Factory TM, CBBC and FremantleMedia Kids and Family Entertainment; it combines a unique blend of vinyl rod puppetry with digital performance animation. The show was nominated for BAFTA and Broadcast awards and awarded Best Animated Series at the Kidscreen Awards 2014.
Phil is passionate about the UK animation and film industry and is dedicated to nurturing new talent and intellectual property for exploitation across all types of media from a UK production base.
