Paul Mortimer

Paul Mortimer is currently the Content Director, On Demand & Acquisitions at ITV. He joined the network as the Controller of Digital Channels in 2012.

Paul has overall responsibility for programming the ITV Hub as well as overseeing the channel brands- ITV2, ITVBe and CITV. He also heads the Programme Acquisitions team.

Under Paul’s leadership, ITV2 has become the market leader for young adults, driven by shows such as ‘The Cabins’, ‘Family Guy’ and, of course, ‘Love Island’. Paul’s other commissions include ‘The Emily Atack Show’, ‘The Stand Up Sketch Show’ and ‘Buffering” for ITV2, ‘Olivia Meets Her Match’ ‘and ‘The Real Housewives’ franchise for ITVBe, and ‘The Rubbish World of Dave Spud’ and ‘HOW’ for CITV.

Before joining ITV, Paul spent five years at Channel 4, becoming the Head of E4. He has also worked for the Discovery Channel as well as Channel 5 but began his career at the ITV Network Centre in 1994.
