Originally from Handsworth in Birmingham, Omari graduated in 2013 from the BA (HONS) Digital Animation Course at Falmouth University with the career goal of becoming a Writer/ Producer/ Showrunner.
In children’s, Omari has written for “PJ Masks”, “JoJo & Gran Gran”, “Love Monster”, and live action preschool series “Biff Chip & Kipper” and “Newton Avenue”.
In adult scriptwriting, Omari won the Triforce Creative Network’s Writer Slam competition in 2019 and developed an original drama called “Once Upon A Time In Handsworth” with Lydia Hampson at Amazon Studios.
In 2020 he began shadowing on series 2 of “Gangs of London” and several new projects; co-writing the live action feature film “Claudia” and developing an “Untitled Animated Series” for Gaumont Animation.
Omari was selected for Bafta Crew 2019, BBC Writers Room London Voices 2020, BBC Studios Writers’ Workshop 2021.
