Oli is the BAFTA-winning creative driving force behind Blue-Zoo’s growing development slate. His company, Blue-Zoo, is the UK’s most prolific children’s animation producer, and now in its 16th year, produces hours of content for channels right around the world – ‘Miffy’, ‘Tree Fu Tom’, ‘Number Blocks’ and ‘Digby Dragon’, to name a few.
Blue-Zoo have just completed a multi-million pound content deal with China, forming a JV called ‘Lanzu’, a vehicle in which they will fund and distribute their content.
He has been awarded an MBE from the Queen for his services to children’s TV and animation, in recognition of his work securing the creative industries tax credits.
He is Animation UK’s chair and on the board of Screen Alliance, he is part owner of the Nextgen Skills Academy and on the board of the National Film and Television School. He sits on both the BAFTA committee, and the Skillset Animation Council.
Oli’s first children’s picture book ‘The Very Boring Owl’ is being published this year.
