uno Bernardo is an award winning and Emmy nominated transmedia writer and producer and the creator of the world’s first international, interactive online teen series, Sofia’s Diary. He is also the author of The Producer’s Guide to Transmedia book which was published in April 2011. Sofia’s Diary was a pioneering interactive series across a mix of traditional media such as TV, books and live events as well as new media such as internet and mobile, which began its life in Portugal and has since been localised in 10 territories around the world and is distributed by Sony Pictures Television. Nuno’s other transmedia work includes Sofia’s Diary UK for Sony and social networking site Bebo and the second season of Rose D’Or award-nominated interactive show Flatmates for Portuguese web portal SAPO and national broadcaster RTP. Flatmates is now broadcast in local versions in Greece and Romania. In Brazil, Nuno produced the transmedia series Final Punishment which earned an Emmy and a Rose D’Or nomination, a TelaViva Best Interactive Show Award and a C21/Frapa Best Multi-Platform Format Award. His work as the producer and creator of the series Aisling’s Diary for Irish broadcaster RTE also earned a Kidscreen award in New York for Best Teen Drama. Nuno is currently is producing two transmedia series, Collider and Beat Girl, for the UK market. In North America he is an executive producer for prime-time TV series, including The Line featuring Linda Hamilton, and Living in Your Car, which recently premiered on HBO Canada and will be broadcast in the UK on Channel 5. He is also producing his first film, romantic comedy The Knot, which stars Mena Suvari (American Beauty), British rising star Talulah Riley and Noel Clarke (also a co-producer and co-writer).
