Nicky Cox

Nicky is the editor of First News, the national newspaper for children, which she launched in 2006 with Piers Morgan and media entrepreneurs Sarah and Steve Thomson. It is the widest-read publication for children in the UK with a weekly readership of 763,800 and is subscribed to by more than a quarter of schools nationwide. Nicky is also the editor of First TV, an internet TV channel for children, launching summer 2010. She was editorial director of children’s at BBC Worldwide for 13 years, masterminding the launch of some 50 magazines, as well as books, DVD, audio, licensing and brand development and has been a BAFTA judge for children’s programmes.
Nicky was awarded an MBE for services to children in 2009.
