Monica Siegenthaler
Monica is a recent graduate from Mills College in California with a masters in Early Child Education. She holds two other degrees, one in Early Child Development and another in Theatre and Film Design. Monica has a special interest in children’s media and technology and has made it the focus of her studies. Her thesis was on augmented reality and the child-parent relationship. Last fall Monica had an internship with the nonprofit organisation Common Sense Media with their education team, and wrote content for their game to educate children about fake news and did a research project on augmented reality.
Currently Monica is an intern with Kids Know It, writing educational content for children. She’s super excited to be apart of the blogging team this year at the CMC! In her spare time she builds spaceships, does yoga, wrestles polar bears, read, and prays for world peace.
