Head of Beano Studios
Since July 2016, as Editorial Director, Beano Studios, Mike has undertaken a creative and commercial role across publishing, digital and consumer divisions, whilst heading up all things Beano in Scotland.
Prior to this, Mike was Editor-in-Chief of The Beano comic, a role he described as the “ultimate” job. During his tenure he established The Beano as the number one Christmas Annual and grew the subscriber base by over 480%!
Mike successfully launched DC Thomson titles WWE Kids and 110% Gaming, and worked on the BAFTA nominated international TV series, Dennis & Gnasher. Previously he was Celebrity Editor on Shout Magazine, before progressing to become Deputy Editor of the UK’s best-selling teen title.
