Head of Marketing
Marie has been with McDonald’s since joining in 2005, as an Assistant Brand Manager. She started her McDonald’s career working primarily on the family business, navigating through the Ofcom regulations and impact in 2007 and she led the McDonald’s family affinity strategy from the start, producing some of McDonald’s most successful campaigns and evolving the approach over the years. She was instrumental in the introduction of Free Fruit Fridays which evolved into the Happy Meal Fruit Offer, and also launched the extensive McDonald’s Family restaurant experience programme in 2011, including the free family events, of which McDonald’s now runs over 2,000 events per year.
Most recently Marie took on the role of Head of Marketing with a remit across family, affinity and social, adding some high performing brand building campaigns, like the Christmas Reindeer Ready activation, to her long list of successes. Marie is also responsible for the leadership of the McDonald’s social team, and the McDonald’s content strategy.
