Presenter and Disability Rights Campaigner
Lucy Edwards is a presenter, YouTuber and disability rights campaigner who is usually accompanied by her guide dog named Olga. After losing her eyesight, Lucy started her own YouTube channel to document her life. She now has 35,000 subscribers and over 3 million views of her videos. In December 2019, Lucy became the first blind presenter on BBC Radio 1. Her other credits include ‘In Touch’ (BBC Radio 4), ‘Click’ (BBC World News) and ‘The Travel Show’ (BBC World News). She also works as a freelance producer for the BBC. Lucy was the first blind ambassador for CoverGirl and has written for The Sunday Times as well as publishing the first ever ‘Blind Beauty Guide’ book. Lucy has supported charities such as Guide Dogs UK, Vision Foundation and RNIB. Lucy is passionate about promoting disability issues having overcome her own adversity to show the world that there is life after sight loss.
