Louise Cantillon

Louise has recently taken up the role of Commercial Counsellor Infrastructure, Creative Industries and Sport for the Department for International Trade network in China.  A Chartered Surveyor by background, Louise brings a wealth of international experience in both the public and private sectors to the role. She comes most recently from the British Council where she was Head of Major Projects and worked on projects in Afghanistan, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Spain, and Taiwan.   Other notable previous roles include developing the Helix Park in Scotland that featured the 100ft high sculptures the Kelpies, delivering schools under PPP frameworks, setting up facilities for a UK company in China.

Louise has a passion for China having studied Chinese at University and her first job was at the British Embassy in Beijing.  She has returned to China after 10 years away because she missed Chinese food too much!
