Liz Kitchen



Liz Kitchen, Composer – Freelance

Liz trained as a percussionist at the Royal Northern College of Music, and Graduated in 1981.
Liz has worked in children’s television for the past 28 years, mostly for the BBC, and has written music for many children’s programmes, including:

‘Tweenies’, ‘Tikkabilla’, ‘Gigglebizz’, ‘Show Me Show Me’, ‘Boogie Beebies’, ‘The Shiny Show’, ‘Playdays’, ‘FunSong Factory’, ‘Harry and Toto’, ‘The Lunch Bunch’, ‘Words and Pictures’… name but a few.

She has also worked for the cartoon network, and done ELT projects for foreign publishers.
Throughout her career she has worked in many areas of the music industry including:
Classical (The Halle Orchestra, The Liverpool Philharmonic, English National Opera) Popular Music (The Climax Blues Band, Barbara Dickson, and many other bands you probably won’t have heard of).
She has also worked on many West End and fringe theatre shows, and is a member of Chickenshed Theatre, where she performs, acts and runs a community choir.

She is a Composer, Percussionist, Pianist, Singer and Actress.
