Larissa Kennedy, 22, is an award-winning Black feminist social activist and community organiser from Croydon, South London. Larissa is currently President-elect at the National Union of Students, having been elected to represent the UK’s 7 million students. She is also a Trustee of the British Youth Council, and undertaking the Tuwezeshe Akina Dada Fellowship with Forward UK, conducting ethnographic research videos about FGM, and other forms of gender-based violence. Larissa was formerly UK Youth Delegate to the Council of Europe Congress, and has worked in advocacy and campaigns at global gender equality charity, Plan International.
