Kay Benbow was appointed Controller of CBeebies in May 2010 and is responsible for commissioning content for the BBC’s youngest audiences across all platforms – TV, online, mobile and radio. Kay has over 20 years experience in children’s programming, primarily at the BBC, and is passionate about providing the very best content by working with in house production, independent producers and international partners. Recent successes include Bafta award winning ‘Katie Morag’, ‘Topsy and Tim’, ‘The Furchester Hotel’, ‘Twirlywoos’, ‘Melody’ and the collaboration with Northern Ballet – ‘The Elves and the Shoemaker’.
