Katie Price started her career in licensed character publishing at HIT Entertainment (now Mattel) in 2001 working on well-known pre-school classic brands such as ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’, ‘Bob the Builder’, ‘Angelina Ballerina’ and ‘Pingu’. In her last 2 years at the company she held the position of Global Publishing Director selling publishing rights across both the HIT and Mattel portfolios. Katie joined the Hachette Children’s Group in August 2015 in the newly created role of Licensing Director. Katie’s prime responsibility is to grow the Hachette Children’s Group’s licensed character publishing business both in terms of acquiring new licences and to license out its own IP.
