Katie French is currently the Head of Audiences for Children’s and Learning at the BBC. Katie ensures that research and audience insight informs the design and continuous development of products and services for flagship brands like CBeebies, CBBC and BBC Bitesize, to ensure these brands can remain fit for purpose in a digital age. Prior to working in media research, she worked in the healthcare sector and headed up a two-market research team at the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). She started her career as a health researcher conducting health and social care research for organisations such as the National Institute for Health Research and is published in the area of self-care and mental health.
