Kate has worked in children’s publishing for 25 years. She started her career as a rights seller. She then moved into publishing and management, becoming MD of Macmillan Children’s Books; then Group MD of Scholastic UK Ltd; and then (briefly!) CEO of Headline, an adult imprint. In February 2010, she set up Nosy Crow, an independent publishing company publishing children’s books and apps. She cares about reading, design, literacy and technology.
