Karl has worked in children’s television as a presenter, writer, producer and director for over 15 years. He was managing director of Tell-Tale Productions from 1999 to 2004 in which time the company produced ‘Tweenies’, ‘Boo’, ‘BB3B’, ‘Fun Song Factory’ and a number of live children’s arena tours including ‘Tweenies’ and ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’. More recently and prior to joining Impossible Kids, Karl worked with Disney UK, Prism Entertainment, Lion Television, Red Planet Films, DC Thomson, Maggie and Rose and Walker Books. Karl works closely with Jonathan Drake, Steve Maher and Jon Doyle in taking Impossible Kids’ and Firestep’s slate of children’s and animated titles to broadcast and beyond in key territories around the world. Impossible Kids has already secured its first two commissions with 52 episodes of ‘Buzz & Tell’ being produced for CBeebies and 52 episodes of ‘Fleabag Monkeyface’, an animated comedy series for 7-12-year olds. In collaboration with Kindle Entertainment and Guru Studio the company is now working on a new 52 episode pre–school series, ‘Dinopaws’, as well as co-producing ‘Animatter’, a 26 part live action/CGI comedy with Ambience Entertainment in Australia and Title Entertainment in Canada.
