Joe Godwin

Director

Joe Godwin has been Director of BBC Children’s since 2009. He’s responsible for all of the BBC’s services for children – CBBC and CBeebies, on TV and online.
He joined the BBC in 1986, and in 1989 moved to the Children’s Programmes department as a trainee assistant producer.
In 2011, he led the move of the department to its new home at MediaCityUK in Salford.
Joe is a member of the BAFTA Children’s Committee, The Advisory Panel on Children’s Viewing of the BBFC, and a Trustee of the National Museums Liverpool.
