Joanna Adeyinka-Burford

Joanna was raised in Hampshire but at the age of 16 she moved to London to study at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts.

After graduating, she topped up her training at the New York Film Academy and went on to complete a First Class Degree at Middlesex University in Professional Practice (Dance and Education).

Joanna worked as an actress and a dance teacher for a few years, before finding her feet as a presenter and kicking off her career by winning Channel 5’s ‘Home and Away: Bay Reporter’ competition in 2011. She’s also presented several faith-based projects, including ‘The Well-Being Journey’ alongside Simon Thomas.

In 2015, Joanna joined the CBeebies presenting team and worked on the RTS Award winning show, ‘The Let’s Go Club’. She’s now a regular face in the CBeebies House here in the UK and in the Middle East. Joanna has been a guest presenter on CBeebies ‘Stargazing’ and co-presented ‘Pablo: Live Lessons’ for BBC Learning.

Joanna has also been involved in primary schools as a creative learning coordinator, devising lesson plans that enable to National Curriculum to be taught in a fun and accessible way, through dance, drama and creative writing workshops.
