Jill Murphy is Editor-in-Chief, Head of Distribution at Common Sense Media and serves as a strategic leader for the organisation. Jill joined Common Sense Media in 2005, building out the editorial team. She oversees over 40,000 ratings for movies, streaming/TV, games, apps, books, and podcasts. Most recently, she led the development and implementation of a new rating on diverse representation. Media literacy and child development are the underpinnings of the ratings and evaluations and Jill has rooted the Editorial philosophy and approach to this framing, while continuing to evolve the ratings used by millions of families.
