Hugh is a Commissioning Exec at CBBC specialising in entertainment, fact-ent and factual formats such as ‘Junior Bake Off’; ‘Matilda and The Ramsay Bunch’; ‘Art Ninja’; ‘The Playlist’; ‘Now You See It’; ‘Airmageddon’; ‘Remotely Funny’; ‘The Joke Machine’; ‘Ultimate Brain’ and ‘CINEMANIACS’.
His career began at Nickelodeon and, as well as working in BBC Factual and BBC Children’s on shows like Blue Peter, SMart and TMi, has included stints both producing and directing at Disney, Viacom, Where It’s At, Shine and Channel X.
Hugh works closely with independents to commission, shape and deliver ambitious, ground-breaking and memorable series that both surprise and entertain, and though there are already a few in the pipeline he wants to hear about your stand-out, original ideas that, like our viewers, can live on TV, web, iPlayer, YouTube and beyond!
