Hayley Treacy Pepler
Creative Director – Get on the Radio
Hayley is Creative Director of media company Get on the Radio and one half of Treacy & Hardy; a creative collaboration with Director Rebecca Hardy.
Get on the Radio is an independent specialist radio producer of content co-constructed with and for children and young people. In two years the company has developed a network of fifteen stations broadcasting output from news and current affairs to original comedy sketch shows and drama.
Treacy & Hardy produce films, television and supporting content for children. Recent work was honoured at the OOMPH Festival awards for fantasy short film ‘Miss Taken’ and comedy spoof ‘The Phoenix Effect’. Treacy & Hardy currently have two multiplatform series in development, ‘Storymakers’ is a formatted programme based on lessons from our research co-constructing narratives with children and the other, ‘Dream Machine’, is a game show with supporting game content for children eight years and above. The partnership also produces music videos, such as the recent Anyman feat. Matt Windle single ‘Never Get a Taxi’.
Before establishing Get on the Radio and Treacy & Hardy, Hayley worked in BBC Entertainment on archive documentaries, across Presentable’s Late Night Poker output, was an Associate Producer for Hotbed Media’s Star Portraits with Rolf Harris and was part of the development team at Maverick Television who created Embarrassing Illnesses and How to Look Good Naked.
Hayley is also a published author who is currently writing a series of books for boys called ’10 giants’: this is especially thrilling for her own boys, Gene, four and Milo, three, who asked her to write something for them.
