Happy Films was founded to create stand out children’s media and its short life has already picked up a raft of awards including a Prix Jeunesse award, two BAFTAs, a British Animation Award and more recently was nominated as a 2013 Shaw Rocket Finalist. We pride ourselves on strong well researched content and high production values.
Happy Films first show, ‘Bookaboo’ has now completed its third season. Starting out as UK only show for CITV, the live action and animation format began to travel overseas and this year completed 26 episodes in French for Radio Canada and TFO as well as a further 28 episodes for CITV (UK) and CBC (Canada) now also airing on ABC Australia. 2013 also saw the format evolve to include a UK schools competition in which teachers from around the country auditioned online to take part in the show.
At Kidscreen 2014, Happy Films looks forward to discussing new shows in development including a pre-school children’s game show and two children’s dramas (4-7 yrs and 8-12)
Happy Films will also be at Kidscreen to talk to potential Bookaboo format producers or broadcasters in other territories around the world.
