Greg Childs divides his time between running his own consultancy business, organising events for The Children’s Media Conference, working for the German Akademie fur Kindermedien and various voluntary roles connected with young people and media.

Greg’s company Childseye Consulting Ltd specialises in digital strategies for the children’s audience – including broadcasting (Greg launched the BBC Children’s websites and channels and the CITV Channel, was an advisor to Al Jazeera Children’s and currently consults with the European Broadcasting Union) and interactive and cross-media project advice (Greg has worked for Disney, Zenith, Samka and Create Media Ventures, amongst others, on project development).

The Children’s Media Conference is the UK’s dedicated learning and networking event, which covers all aspects of content production and distribution to children and young people. It welcomed over 750 delegates in July 2011 from every sector – including TV, radio, film, interactive, games, licensing, publishing and the arts. THE CMC also produces other training and insight events across the UK, with a kids’ media focus, and is the organiser of the UK@Kidscreen2012 delegation.

Greg is also one of the Heads of Studies at the Akademie fur Kindermedien – a German initiative which trains authors of kids’ content and develops their personal projects.

Greg is a founder member of the Save Kids’ TV campaign in the UK which has recently developed into the broader-based Children’s Media Foundation.
