Founder and CEO
Genevieve has worked in children’s television entertainment for over 20 years. She is best known for founding London based, CAKE Entertainment which won best distributor/investor at both Kidscreen and Cartoon Forum 2009. Having sold the company in 2010 she set up Serious Lunch in 2011 to assist companies in all areas of IP exploitation and finance. Genevieve has managed the international commercial exploitation of multi platform television programmes such as “Total Drama Island” which was CAKE’s break out success in the US and managed the international roll out of the interactive and television programming for many series over the years. Genevieve’s Executive Producer credits include the following animated series: “Ebb & Flo” with Canning Factor, FIVE, Hahn Film & WDR “King Arthur’s Disasters” for ITV and Zenith (BAFTA nom) “Edgar & Ellen” for Nickelodeon USA and Star Farm, “Skunk Fu!” for BBC, Super RTL (BAFTA nom) and “Angelo Rules for TeamTo, France 3, RAI and Cartoon Network.

This session explores the tax incentive's compatibility with other forms of funding including EIS and Media. It also examines the relationship to UK broadcasters and platform providers, and considers how far the banks and other institutions will support in the early stages of the scheme.
