Freelance Digital Producer
Emma has been working in digital media for over 17 years. Working across different sectors in many different roles. Her focus, no matter the context, is how much fun humans have when they interact with creative technology. Emma cares a lot about the people at both ends of the process, the makers and the users.
In order to satisfy her curiosity about what makes good interactive media and talk more to her peers and the public about technology, Emma has organised a number of events in the thriving creative digital community in Sheffield. Ranging from Women in Tech focused events to Maker Faire style events.
Emma’s career highlight so far has been working on a game for Channel 4 that was recreated by astronauts aboard the International Space Station that won the BAFTA Television Craft for Digital Creativity in 2015.
She is part of the team bringing ‘Playground’ to Sheffield, an interactive art exhibition for children, which she hopes will inspire a new generation of digital creatives in the city.
