Carla Engelbrecht Fisher, Ed.D., is a game designer with a research obsession and the founder of No Crusts Interactive. Her work blends progressive educational philosophies, innovative game mechanics, and children’s curricular needs to create engaging interactive entertainment. Under her direction, No Crusts designed Wii and DS games for ‘Sesame Street’ and ‘Monster Math: Little Wall-y Ball-y Ball’ for iPad.
She is recognised internationally for her writing and speaking about best practices for children’s games, including for Kids Got Game on Kidscreen.com. She holds a doctorate in instructional technology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a master’s degree in media studies from the New School University and has, on occasion, been known to twist balloon animals and hats.
