Dinah produces and presents creative audio and video. After many years on the road as a journalist working in news and current affairs, an inspirational career dogleg took her to CBeebies where she discovered her love of children’s media. Since then she’s been using the full range of platforms to tell stories to adults and children. With her company, PastPorte, she dreamt up and pulled together an interactive binaural installation for the Royal Collection, based at Buckingham Palace, telling the story of Shackleton’s experiences in the Antarctic. Also with PastPorte she’s recently finished a set of binaural audio stories – somewhere between the best radio drama and a conventional audio tour – for the National Trust. PastPorte is also just about to go live with an interactive game transporting shoppers in a mall through history to the height of the Victorian industrial era when a huge engineering giant dominated the site.
