Deborah Hooper has 20+ years’ expertise in IP management, brand development, marketing, licensing, publishing and the children’s sector in the UK and internationally. Initially a retail buyer and then international marketing director for the brands division at Penguin Books, at Hoopla she works with clients on strategies to market for entertainment, literary and lifestyle properties in both traditional and digital spaces. She also delivers interim management at senior level for media and digital businesses, most recently at DHX Media, and was part of the launch team for Pottermore.com, J.K.Rowling’s groundbreaking Harry Potter transmedia initiative. In a parallel life, she is a Humanist Wedding Celebrant.
