Most recently David was a Script Researcher on the BBC One’s ‘Holby City’ where he worked with writers, producers and advisors on creating the medical storylines for the programme.
One of David’s key passions is content creation for children and young adults. He spent 5 years in BBC Children’s across various roles including as a Researcher in CBBC Development and CBeebies Presentation. David also worked on the Scheduling team supporting the Executive Producers on the delivery of indie programming.
As a New Talent Scout for BBC Writers Room he reported on new writing and has undertaken training in Script Editing. He gained funding for a 15 episode online soap that he produced with a cast and crew of over 25.

In the year Katniss Everdeen was dominant on posters all around the country for the last ‘Hunger Games’ film, we have been shown that strong female characters can be dominant in media for young people. However we have also been asking #wheresrey which has shown that gender prejudice can still be ingrained in the industry’s thinking. Following on from the session on female representation in preschool children’s media in 2015 we will look back on the past year and see if the industry’s attitude towards girls has improved.
