Famous Flying Films


Famous Flying Films, founded in 1993, produces animated television programmes for children. Its first commissions were a series of five half-hour animated specials for the U.S., featuring the highly successful Cabbage Patch Kids characters. In 1999, the company’s Director, David Johnson, created The Koala Brothers (, an original preschool children’s series which went into production at Famous Flying Films in 2002. The award-winning series has sold worldwide, screening on BBC TWO and CBeebies in the U.K., Playhouse Disney in the U.S., and in more than sixty other territories. It has been dubbed into thirty languages. 78 episodes and one 45 minute Christmas special were made over a five year period.

Famous Flying Films’ latest production is Calamity Island, a 52 X 7 minute series of slapstick comedies in stop-motion animation for the 4-6 age group.
