Creative Director & Consultant
Darren Garrett is a BAFTA award winning Director, Producer, and Designer with over 17 years experience in animation, games and digital projects. The majority of this time was spend as founder and Creative Director of Littleloud, a renowned award winning digital entertainment studio.
He has been at the forefront of innovative educational gaming content, including the BAFTA winning interactive dramas Bow Street Runner, Games for Change winner The Curfew, and Sweatshop, which has been featured in MITs top 5 best practice serious games.
Darren has spoken at various conferences and events in the UK & abroad on digital storytelling and games. He also sits on the advisory board to the NFTS Games Design course as well as occasional guest lecturing at Portsmouth University on the Illustration BA and at Sussex University on the MA in Digital Media.
Recent projects include Sticks and Stones, a game about social hierarchies and bullying, and American Interior, a project with Storythings and Gruff Rhys of the Super Furry Animals about John Evans and his search for a lost tribe of Welsh-speaking Native Americans.
