Connal Orton is a comedy and drama Executive Producer for CBBC.
Connal is currently Executive Producer for ‘All At Sea’, ‘4 O’Clock Club’ (Best Drama, Kidscreen; Best Children’s Drama, RTS North) and ‘Worst Year of My Life, Again’. He has also Executive Produced ‘Paradise Café’, ‘Hotel Trubble’ and the International Emmy Award winning ‘Lost Christmas’.
At Cartoon Network, Connal was Executive Producer on ‘My Spy Family’. He was Script Executive on ‘Gemma Factor’ and ‘Trexx and Flipside’ for BBC 3. He also Script Exec’d two series of ‘Life of Riley’ (BBC1).
Connal was Executive Producer at Granada Kids for the BAFTA-nominated ‘Best Friends’ and ‘Barking’, and ‘Supernormal’, a 52 part animation series he created. He was Development Executive on ‘Don’t Eat the Neighbours’ and ‘Seriously Weird’. He developed and produced two series of the multi-award-winning ‘My Parents are Aliens’.
Connal spent several years as a theatre director, has scripted stage plays for children and wrote regularly for ‘My Parents are Aliens’. His plays have been broadcast on Radio 4.
